Universidad Politécnica de Madrid
Universidad Politécnica de Madrid (UPM) is the oldest and largest Spanish technical university, with more than 4.000 faculty members, around 38.000 undergraduate students and 6.000 postgraduates in 21 Schools of study. The UPM researchers have large expertise in research projects participation both at national and international level. The presence of UPM in the international R&D arena is ensured by its consistent participation in various EU programmes.
The Faculty of Agriculture within the Polytechnic University of Madrid consists of 17 departments that are responsible for implementing the undergraduate and postgraduate programs and they carry out all the research work. Involved in the project will be among others the departments of Soil Science, Crop Production, Vegetal Biology and Crop Protection and Botany. UPM has one of the few Faculties of Agriculture in Spain working on organic farming.
The UPM will be encharge of the scientific part of the project, soil and crops analysis and crops rotation and planning.
