Treatment of mixed crop samples at UPM

During the harvesting of the trial plots of mixed crops (chickpeas and wheat) that took place on the 20th of July in Illana, the technician in charge, Juan Pablo del Monte (UPM) collected samples of the harvest for evaluation in the lab.

The parameters of the analysis will include:
-total harvest weight
-Grain percentage (chickpea-wheat)
-Impurity percentage (weeds)
-Protein percentage in wheat

Following a screening test, UPM will obtain the different fractions (chickpea – wheat –impurity) of each sample and draw future conclusions.
